Goa, May 25 -- Goa Police, in coordination with the Uttarakhand Special Task Force, have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the high-profile Mapusa sextortion case that involved the extortion of nearly Rs 30 lakh from a businessman.

The accused, identified as Salman, was reportedly arrested in Dehradun nearly three years after the incident came to light.

According to police, the case dates back to August 2023, when a group allegedly impersonated officials of the Delhi Narcotics Bureau and conducted a fake raid at the complainant's bungalow in Mapusa.
