Goa, April 22 -- The State Election Commission, Goa has announced by‑elections for four village panchayat wards: Pissurlem, Dongurli Thane, Batim and Verna, with polling set for May 10 from 8 am to 5 pm and counting scheduled for May 11.

The model code of conduct has been enforced from April 20 across the constituencies to ensure free and fair polling and to regulate political campaigning.

The election body has capped campaign expenditure for each candidate at Rs.40,000, in line with norms for village panchayat elections, and has urged parties and independents to adhere strictly to spending limits and other guidelines.
