Goa, July 26 -- The Quepem Sub-Divisional Magistrate has directed the immediate relocation of cattle from an unsafe site in Deao village under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. The order follows the demolition of cattle sheds linked to the Zambaulim Gaushala and cites concerns over cattle straying onto roads, poor sanitation and inadequate shelter during the monsoon. The Dhyan Foundation has been instructed to shift the animals to recognised gaushalas or registered shelters within 12 hours after veterinary clearance. Police have been asked to ensure smooth implementation of the directive.
