Goa, April 14 -- Goa is falling behind in the development of food processing infrastructure, according to recent data presented in the Lok Sabha. The figures highlight a significant gap, with the state lacking key facilities such as mega food parks, cold storage chains, and integrated processing hubs.
Despite the availability of central schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana, Goa has not been able to secure major projects under the programme. This has raised concerns about policy limitations and missed opportunities in crucial sectors such as fisheries, horticulture, and cashew processing.
