Panaji, June 18 -- Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has said that Goa has successfully implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) and is now developing five new colleges with a long-term vision of strengthening higher education for the next 50 years.

Speaking at an official event, the Chief Minister said the upcoming institutions will cater to emerging academic and professional fields, with a focus on law, forensic science, skill-based education, digital learning, and experiential education. He added that the initiative aims to equip students with future-ready skills while enhancing the state's higher education ecosystem.
