Goa, Oct. 30 -- The Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) has recommended continued monitoring of the premises of United Spirits Ltd and United Breweries Ltd at Bethora to prevent the recurrence of foul odour and pollution in the surrounding areas, following complaints from local residents.

In its inquiry report dated October 30, 2026, the Commission observed that there had been a reduction in foul odour and that no discharge of wastewater from the two industrial units into the Bethora nallah was detected during the latest joint inspection conducted on October 26.
