Goa High Court Directs Panchayats to Remove Illegal Roadside Hoardings, Seek Compliance Reports
Goa, Aug. 11 -- The Goa High Court has pulled up several village panchayats for failing to remove illegal roadside hoardings and directed authorities to strictly comply with its earlier order on the matter.
The court directed the Panchayat Secretaries of Chicalim, Agassaim, Penha de Franca, Merces and Verna, along with the Commissioner of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) and the Chief Officer of the Mapusa Municipality, to ensure the removal of illegal hoardings from their respective jurisdictions.
The authorities have also been directed to file compliance reports before the court on August 24.
