Goa, Aug. 5 -- Goa Forward Party's Curchorem Block President, Vishal Nogueiro, staged a unique protest by sitting on a pothole-ridden road to draw attention to the poor condition of roads and question the government's priority of installing AI-based traffic cameras.

Highlighting the deteriorating state of road infrastructure, Nogueiro said that while artificial intelligence-powered cameras may help enforce traffic regulations, they cannot guarantee the safety of motorists if roads remain damaged.

He argued that repairing potholes and improving road conditions would have a far greater impact on reducing accidents and saving lives than relying solely on surveillance technology.
