Goa, July 17 -- Leaders of the Goa Forward Party on Friday raised serious concerns over the condition of the newly constructed Curchorem Municipal Market Complex after discovering the building's basement completely submerged in water during an inspection.

During their visit, the leaders opened the basement entrance and found the entire lower level inundated, describing it as a "water tank" due to the extent of the flooding.

Questioning the quality of construction and planning of the project, the party said it was unacceptable for a newly built public facility to experience such severe waterlogging. The leaders alleged that the incident pointed to serious flaws in the execution of the project.
