Goa, Oct. 26 -- The Goa Department of Fisheries has launched a pilot initiative harvesting Asian Sea Bass, locally known as Chonak, at its Estuarine Fish Farm in Ela Dhauji, Old Goa. To ensure local consumers get fresh produce, the harvested fish will be sold directly to the public at Rs.500 per kg on October 27, 2026, starting at 2:30 PM. The sale takes place at the Ela Dhauji fish farm on a first-come, first-served basis and will continue until available stock runs out.
