Goa, April 16 -- The Cyber Crime Police Station Goa conducted a raid in Sangolda and arrested six individuals for allegedly running an online betting racket linked to the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The accused have been identified as Gediya Raj Dilipbhai from Surat, Gujarat; Bhimraj Meena from Udaipur, Rajasthan; Nilesh Ratibhai Hirani and Shani Dipakbhai Chavada, both from Surat; Rokad Yash Jaysukhbhai from Amreli, Gujarat; and Prashant Harish Trivedi from Bardhaman, West Bengal.
According to police, the group was operating the betting network using multiple mobile phones and mule bank accounts to facilitate illegal transactions.
