Goa, July 3 -- The Goa Crime Branch conducted an anti-human trafficking operation near Palmirna Resort in Calangute during the early hours of July 2, rescuing a woman allegedly being exploited for prostitution and arresting one accused.

According to a press note issued by the Crime Branch, the raid was carried out between 2.06 am and 4 am as part of the department's ongoing crackdown on human trafficking and prostitution rackets. The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Jivba Dalvi.

Acting on specific intelligence, the Crime Branch team launched a planned operation that resulted in the rescue of a woman who was allegedly being trafficked for the purpose of prostitution.
