Goa, June 29 -- Goa Congress leader Amit Palekar has alleged that he was involved in a life-threatening road rage incident in Taleigao on Sunday night, claiming that a group of allegedly intoxicated youths attempted to attack him.

In a statement, Palekar said the youths tried to flee after noticing a police vehicle in the area. He claimed that he chased their car, noted down its registration number, and alerted the police, following which the occupants were brought to the police station.

Palekar further stated that he has decided not to pursue the complaint after the parents of the youths reportedly requested him to withdraw the matter.
