Goa, May 8 -- The Government of Goa has declared May 9, 10 and 11, 2026 as Dry Days in wards falling under the Village Panchayats of Batim and Verna in view of the upcoming bye-elections, polling process and counting of votes.
The order was issued to maintain law and order during the election period. Sale and distribution of liquor will remain prohibited in the notified wards during the specified dates.
Meanwhile, the State Election Commission stated that polling will not take place in Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Pissurlem and Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Dongurli Thane as the candidates in both wards have been elected unopposed.
