India, March 26 -- Concerns have been raised over large-scale mud dumping near a wholesale fish market in Goa, with locals questioning its impact on agricultural land and possible violations.

Local social worker Milagres Fernandes, along with residents and farmers, inspected the site located opposite the fish market, where a significant quantity of mud has reportedly been dumped.

Speaking during the inspection, Fernandes alleged that the dumped material is being used to fill and cover nearby fields. He further claimed that the activity could be linked to plans for a future project that may benefit individuals associated with the local MLA.
