GHRC Adjourns Smart Meter Hearing to July 15, Awaits Amicus Curiae Report
Panaji, June 24 -- The Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) has adjourned the hearing in the ongoing smart meter matter to July 15 after taking on record a submission from the Amicus Curiae, Advocate Abhijit Gosavi, who informed the Commission that he would submit a comprehensive report within the next two weeks.
During the hearing, Advocate Elvis Gomes, representing intervenors Darryl D'Souza and Amarnath Gaonkar, confirmed that the Electricity Department had filed its official reply in the case. He stated that a copy of the response had been furnished to the intervenors and that their legal team would examine the contents before filing a rejoinder through the Amicus Curiae.
