India, March 24 -- The Goa Forward Party has declared its rift with the Indian National Congress as a closed chapter, stating it has "forgiven and forgotten" past differences. The party's State Executive endorsed President Vijai Sardesai's stand in the House, signalling a clear move to shift focus. Responding to remarks by AICC Goa in-charge Manikrao Thakare, GFP urged rivals not to reopen old issues. Instead, it called on all political stakeholders to concentrate on the upcoming Ponda by-election, stressing that energy should be directed towards the ongoing campaign rather than revisiting past disputes.
