India, March 20 -- State-run oil marketing companies on Friday raised the price of premium-grade petrol by over Rs 2 per litre, while prices for regular petrol and diesel remain unchanged. This increase targets high-performance fuel variants, including BPCL's Speed, HPCL's Power, and IOCL's XP95.
The price hike ranges between Rs 2.09 and Rs 2.35 per litre depending on the brand, reflecting growing tensions in the Middle East, which have impacted global crude oil markets. The move aims to adjust fuel prices in line with rising international costs, ensuring the domestic market remains balanced.
