FRRO Goa Cracks Down On Foreign Overstayers, Nine Deported In May
Goa, May 15 -- The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) Goa has intensified its crackdown on foreign nationals overstaying in the state, deporting nine individuals so far in May and initiating blacklisting procedures against them. Officials confirmed that the deported individuals included five Ugandan nationals, three Russians and one Nigerian citizen.
In a fresh operation carried out at Mandrem on Thursday, authorities detected seven more foreign overstayers, including five Russians, one Ukrainian and one South African national. Legal proceedings against them are currently underway.
