Goa, May 31 -- A major robbery case in Karnataka's Khanapur forest region has been solved with the arrest of eight accused, including two friends of the victim. According to police, a goldsmith travelling from Belagavi to Goa was stopped in a forested stretch near Khanapur and allegedly robbed at gunpoint. The suspects reportedly fled with around 225 grams of gold and Rs.1.02 lakh in cash. During the investigation, police found that two close associates of the victim had allegedly shared details of his movements and helped plan the crime. All eight accused have been arrested and key evidence recovered.
