Goa, July 2 -- Four persons from Sawantwadi were injured after the car they were travelling in plunged into a roadside drain at Amboli Ghat, reportedly after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the driver was unable to maintain control while negotiating the ghat section, causing the car to veer off the road and fall into a roadside drain.

All four occupants sustained injuries in the mishap. Passersby rushed to the scene and helped rescue those trapped inside the vehicle before they were shifted for medical treatment.

The injured are reported to be residents of Sawantwadi. Their exact medical condition was not immediately known.
