Goa, May 11 -- The Verna Police have booked four men after a woman and her two children were allegedly assaulted during a late-night altercation at a bar and restaurant near Jacinto Island.

According to police sources, the incident reportedly began after one of the accused allegedly consumed food from the woman's personal tiffin without her permission. When the woman objected to the act, an argument reportedly broke out.

The woman alleged that she was verbally abused and slapped during the confrontation. Her daughter and minor son were also allegedly assaulted in the incident.

Following the complaint, Verna Police registered a case against the four accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Goa Child...
