Goa, May 14 -- The foundation stone for a new Ganesh visarjan facility was laid at Parra, fulfilling a long-pending demand of local residents and devotees in the village.

Residents from seven vaddos of Parra had been seeking a safer immersion site for Ganesh visarjan, especially during the monsoon season when the existing immersion spot reportedly became unsafe and difficult to access.

Locals stated that the lack of proper infrastructure at the immersion site posed risks to devotees during heavy rains and waterlogged conditions. The new facility is expected to improve safety and convenience for people participating in Ganesh visarjan rituals in the area.
