Goa, April 10 -- A complaint-driven inspection campaign in Gogol and Rawanfond areas of Salcete has exposed serious food safety violations, leading to the seizure of 450 kg of farsan valued at Rs.85,000 from three manufacturing units.
During the drive, authorities discovered multiple irregularities across the units. One facility was found operating without a valid licence and under unhygienic conditions. Officials immediately ordered its closure and imposed a fine of Rs.10,000.
In another case, inspectors identified expired food stock worth Rs.18,000 being stored at a unit, raising concerns over public health and safety standards.
