St Cruz, Aug. 29 -- The flag hoisting ceremony marking the beginning of the annual celebrations at Our Lady of Vailankanni Chapel at Four Pillars, St Cruz, Ilhas, was held on August 29 at noon.

The traditional Maddi (flag hoisting) ceremony was attended by devotees and local residents, marking the start of the chapel's annual feast celebrations.

The ceremony was held in a prayerful and festive atmosphere, with the participation of the faithful and members of the local community.
