Goa, May 22 -- At least five people, including a pregnant woman from Tamil Nadu, were injured after a tourist bus rear-ended a vehicle at Mollem-Kasavali on Friday.

According to sources, the impact of the collision left multiple occupants injured, following which they were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police said the tourist bus driver allegedly fled the accident spot after the crash. However, authorities later intercepted and detained him at Farmagudi.

Further investigation into the accident is underway.
