Goa, April 22 -- Fishermen from Benaulim, Varca, Velsao, and Colva have intercepted six boats allegedly engaged in illegal fishing off the South Goa coast, after spotting around 250-300 vessels from Karnataka entering Goa waters and casting nets close to the shore.

With the help of fellow fishermen, the Fisheries Department and Coastal Police, the six boats were seized and handed over to Fisheries authorities for further action.
