Goa, June 3 -- A hut and a jackfruit tree were damaged in a fire incident reported at Sigonem in Valpoi, Sattari taluka, late on Tuesday night.

According to fire service officials, the blaze broke out at around 11:15 pm near the residence of Arjun Appa Gawas (House No. 17). Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Valpoi Fire Station promptly rushed to the spot and initiated firefighting operations.

The firefighting team, led by Senior Fire Fighter Sandeep L. Gaonkar, managed to bring the fire under control before it could spread to nearby properties, preventing further damage.
