Goa, May 26 -- A fire broke out at a scrapyard in Dicarpale early on Tuesday morning, prompting an immediate response from the Fire Department.

According to officials, the Fire Department received a distress call at around 6:18 am, following which firefighters rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations to contain the blaze.

After sustained efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control. No injuries have been reported so far.

Authorities are yet to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, while details regarding property damage and losses are awaited.
