Goa, May 13 -- Bicholim Police Station has registered an FIR against 11 persons and others in connection with an alleged unlawful assembly and wrongful confinement incident at the Karapur-Sarvan Village Panchayat Office over the ongoing Lodha Project issue in Sarvan village.

According to police, the accused allegedly confined the Acting Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch inside the panchayat office while pressuring her to either sign a show cause notice against the controversial project or resign from her position.

The incident reportedly took place amid growing tensions surrounding the Lodha Project in Sarvan. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and further action is expected based on the findings of the probe.
