India, Feb. 28 -- The Panjim Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against an estimated 1,200 to 1,500 individuals for allegedly staging an unlawful protest against Section 39A of the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act.
According to police sources, the protesters marched towards the residence of the TCP Minister at Dona Paula without permission, leading to major disruptions in the area. Authorities stated that demonstrators blocked key roads for more than eight hours, causing significant inconvenience to commuters and local residents.
