Goa, July 20 -- Traffic movement came to a near standstill at the Old Market Circle in Fatorda on Monday after the traffic signal malfunctioned, causing severe congestion at the busy junction.

Vehicles approaching from all four directions were caught in long queues as the non-functional signal disrupted the smooth flow of traffic. Motorists faced significant delays while attempting to navigate the intersection during peak hours.

The malfunction led to traffic chaos, with commuters forced to wait for extended periods before crossing the junction. The incident caused inconvenience to motorists and highlighted the need for prompt maintenance of traffic signal systems at key intersections.
