Goa, May 27 -- A family dispute reportedly related to a marriage issue turned violent at Salvador do Mundo near the Kadamba Depot in Porvorim, resulting in a knife attack on Bablo Gadekar.

According to police sources, Gadekar sustained injuries during the altercation and was immediately shifted to the District Hospital Mapusa for medical treatment. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was later referred to Goa Medical College and Hospital for further care.

Porvorim Police have arrested accused Rohit Dhumale Vazri in connection with the incident. Police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the violent confrontation.

Further inquiry into the case is underway.
