Goa, June 15 -- Three men who allegedly posed as Naga sadhus to gain the trust of a resident in Pernem and steal gold jewellery and cash have been arrested by Mopa Airport Police. The accused were traced to Dhule district in Maharashtra following a detailed investigation.

According to police, the trio approached the victim on June 8 and allegedly made away with a gold chain, a gold ring and cash amounting to Rs 2,600. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at around Rs 1.2 lakh.

Investigators launched a search operation using CCTV footage, vehicle tracking systems and technical surveillance. The evidence helped police identify the suspects and track their movements to Maharashtra.
