England Crush Pakistan, PCB Goes Nuclear: 7 Players Sent Home
Goa, Sept. 1 -- Pakistan have made sweeping changes to their Test squad after their disappointing series against England, releasing seven players ahead of the third and final Test in Birmingham.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the decision after England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series with a 194-run victory in the second Test at Lord's. The defeat has triggered a major reshuffle as Pakistan look to make changes before the final match of the series.
The seven players released from the squad are Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad. According to the PCB, the players were sent home following the completion of the Lord's Test.
