Goa, July 10 -- Manthan Aroskar, an employee of the Electricity Department and a resident of Mavlinge in Bicholim, died after suffering an electric shock while trimming overgrown trees at the water purification plant in Asnoda.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the metal cutter he was using came into contact with a live electrical source, causing fatal electrocution.

Authorities have initiated the necessary legal formalities and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The tragic accident has raised concerns about safety measures during maintenance work near live electrical installations.
