Goa, July 10 -- The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has introduced a stricter alcohol policy for the men's cricket team following a series of off-field controversies that have overshadowed the side over the past year. The new guidelines, implemented by managing director Rob Key and shared with players during the home summer, aim to improve discipline and ensure greater focus on preparation and recovery.

Under the revised policy, players have been advised to avoid alcohol from the day before a match until the day after it concludes.
