E20 fuel protest erupts in Delhi as motorists allege mileage drop, engine issues
Goa, July 5 -- The debate over India's E20 petrol rollout has moved from social media to the streets, with motorists holding what organisers described as the country's first public protest against the ethanol-blending policy. The demonstration took place at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Sunday, where vehicle owners claimed the introduction of E20 fuel had led to reduced mileage, engine problems and expensive repairs.
The protest was organised under the banner "Hamaari Gaadi, Hamaara Adhikaar" by entrepreneur and television personality Tehseen Poonawalla along with his advocacy initiative, Team Bharat.
