Goa, May 9 -- Four tourists were taken into custody by police after they allegedly vandalised a beach shack at Baga Beach following a dispute over playing Kannada music.

According to police, the incident took place late at night when a group of allegedly intoxicated tourists demanded that Kannada songs be played at the shack. When the staff reportedly failed to comply, the tourists allegedly created a ruckus, vandalised property and assaulted one of the workers.

The accused also allegedly threatened to shut down the shack during the altercation, creating panic among staff and visitors present at the popular beach destination.
