Goa, April 16 -- Goa Minister Ramesh Tawadkar has acknowledged the continued presence of drugs along the state's beach belt, stating that it would be incorrect to claim that such substances are not available in these areas.
Highlighting the gravity of the issue, Tawadkar emphasised the need for stronger enforcement measures and better coordination among agencies to tackle the problem effectively.
He also underlined the importance of addressing the drug menace to protect Goa's tourism image, noting that maintaining a safe and clean environment is crucial for the state's reputation as a leading travel destination.
Authorities are expected to intensify efforts to curb illegal drug activities along coastal regions.
