Goa, Oct. 10 -- The tragic death of a terrified dog, apparently trapped and desperately searching for a way out, has raised fresh concerns over safety around Goa's Porvorim elevated corridor.

The incident has drawn attention to the need to assess whether the flyover's design and surrounding infrastructure adequately account for the safety of animals.

The Porvorim flyover has already faced scrutiny following accidents, including a fatal crash that claimed two lives. Concerns have been raised over road design, merging points, access roads and the overall safety arrangements for motorists using the elevated corridor.
