Goa, Nov. 4 -- Democrats have taken control of both chambers of the US Congress after making significant gains in the 2026 midterm elections, delivering a major setback to President Donald Trump and potentially reshaping the legislative landscape in Washington.

The party picked up five Senate seats and more than half a dozen House districts, strengthening its position in Congress.
