Goa, Sept. 2 -- The draft electoral roll released following Delhi's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has recorded a significant reduction in the number of registered electors.

The electorate has declined from around 1.45 crore before the revision exercise to 97.53 lakh in the draft roll, resulting in the exclusion of approximately 47.56 lakh electors.

The reduction represents an overall decline of 32.8 per cent in the electorate.

The figures are part of the draft electoral roll and are not final. The number of electors may change during the claims and objections period, when individuals can raise concerns or seek corrections regarding their inclusion or exclusion from the roll.
