Goa, Sept. 7 -- The Satya Niketan Paying Guest accommodation collapse in southwest Delhi has taken a grim turn as the death toll reached seven, prompting swift police action and structural policy directives across the capital. On Monday, a day after the multi-storey building collapsed, the absconding owner of the PG accommodation, identified as 81-year-old Hariram Gupta, was apprehended by law enforcement officials in Rajasthan.

The tragic incident occurred around 1:30 PM on Sunday in the congested neighborhood of Satya Niketan, located near Delhi University's South Campus.
