Goa, Aug. 25 -- Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh has assured residents that the H1N1 influenza situation in the national capital remains under control, with sufficient doctors and medicines available at healthcare facilities.

More than 2,000 influenza cases have been reported across different age groups in the region, prompting concerns over the spread of the virus. However, medical experts said most patients do not require hospitalisation and can recover with appropriate care.

Experts noted that H1N1 spreads through respiratory droplets and advised people to follow basic respiratory hygiene to reduce transmission.
