Goa, Oct. 6 -- Delhi Police officer Vivek Bhagat, who was recently promoted to the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has requested the Delhi Police Commissioner to keep his promotion order on hold, citing an ongoing Crime Branch enquiry into sexual harassment allegations against him.

Bhagat, currently serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) at Connaught Place Police Station in New Delhi, was among 12 police officers promoted to the rank of Additional DCP through an order issued on October 5. The promotion order was signed by Deputy Secretary (Home) Ramesh Kumar.
