Goa, June 8 -- Residents of Chandel and Hasapur are facing severe commuting difficulties as the newly constructed bridge on the Chandel-Hasapur main road remains closed despite nearing completion. The delay in opening the bridge to traffic is reportedly due to ongoing concrete slab work on its arch.

The situation has worsened after the temporary diversion route created for vehicular movement was washed away by recent heavy rainfall, leaving commuters with limited options to travel.

Local residents, students, and office-goers are now forced to pass through knee-deep water using whatever accessible paths remain, making daily travel both difficult and risky.
