Goa, Sept. 16 -- A decomposed body of an unidentified man, believed to be aged between 60 and 65, was found at the Pernem Municipal Crematorium on Tuesday, prompting police to launch efforts to establish his identity.

According to police, the matter was registered at around 3 pm after an unknown caller informed them that a man was lying at the crematorium premises.

Police personnel visited the spot and found the decomposed body of an unidentified male in the crematorium area. The man was wearing a white T-shirt and checked shorts. Based on the circumstances at the scene, police said the deceased appeared to be a person who may have been living as a beggar.
