India, March 4 -- A decomposed body was discovered inside the premises of the Cuncolim Municipal Council, triggering shock in the area. The remains were found in an electrical chamber within the council's new building complex. Authorities said the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition at the time of recovery.

Police reached the spot soon after being alerted and began an investigation. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, and officials confirmed that efforts are underway to determine how long the body had been there. Forensic teams are expected to assist in ascertaining the exact cause of death.
