Goa, April 13 -- Amid growing concern over reports of dead fish, CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate has identified sewage inflow as a key cause of pollution in Mala Lake.
Authorities have collected water samples from the lake to assess contamination levels, as concerns mount over the deteriorating water quality. Similar pollution issues have also been reported in the nearby St Inez Creek, raising alarms about a broader environmental problem in the area.
In response, a multi-department meeting has been scheduled for April 15 to discuss long-term solutions and coordinate action among relevant agencies.
